Property Values

Property Values are system values that will be used throughout TRAKnet. These are the “pieces” of data that the practice utilizes throughout the software. A majority of this information is pre-loaded and cannot be modified with the exception of Marketing Referrals, billing Modifiers and custom Multimedia Folders. Property Values are found on the properties tab.

Marketing Referrals

Marketing Referrals are the property value that populates the "Marketing Referral" portion of the patient's demographics. On default, TRAKnet contains the following:

  • Direct Mail
  • Insurance
  • Internet
  • Newspaper
  • Patient
  • Provider
  • Radio
  • TV
  • Yellow Pages

These fields are meant to answer the question of "how did the patient hear about us?" To add a custom marketing referral entry, click the green Add button under the Properties tab > Property Values > Marketing Referral screen.

Modifiers

To add a Modifier, select Modifiers from the list of Property Values, then click the green “Add” button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. This will open the Modifier window.

  • Value/Code – The value or code that is used to identify the modifier, such as 25 or KX.
  • Description – The text that will describe that modifier value.

After entering the above information, click Save.

Multimedia Folders

Multimedia Folders are the folders that appear under the Multimedia tab of the Patient's Chart. TRAKnet will come preloaded with the following folders:

  • Statements — All statements generated through TRAKnet for a patient will be saved here as a .pdf, settings permitting (see: Options)
  • Labs — Lab results can be saved here.
  • X-Rays — X-rays can be saved here.

To add a new multimedia folder, select Multimedia folders from the list of Property Values, then click the green "Add" button. This will open a Property Value editor window where the below information will be entered:

  • Value/Code — The name of the new folder. Note that folders cannot be created with invalid characters: / \ : * ? " < > |
  • Description — Optional, a description of the folder's desired contents.

To delete a folder, select the folder you wish to delete, then click Remove. Note: This will not delete the folder from existing patients in an effort to ensure no PHI is deleted. It will, however, prevent the folder from being added to all future patient's charts.

To rename a folder, select the folder, then click Modify. Here you can enter a new name. The above note applies to renaming folders as well. Note that folders cannot be renamed with invalid characters: / \ : * ? " < > |
