Z_Archived Patient Portal Practice Registration
The new TRAKnet Patient Portal was released on June 29th, 2018. Click here to learn more about setting up the new portal. The below information is ARCHIVED.
This page will walk the practice through how to register for the patient portal.
- After signing for the patient portal, you will receive an email from the sales team detailing how to activate the new portal feature in your TRAKnet database. These steps must be followed in their entirety before beginning the registration process. If you have not yet signed up for the patient portal, please reach out to the sales team at moc.snoitulostenkart|selas#moc.snoitulostenkart|selas.
- After following the above steps and signing back into TRAKnet, you will notice that the Patient Portal drop-down menu in the menu bar of TRAKnet is not active. Click on this drop-down menu.
- The drop-down menu will have one available option: Register Portal. Click on this option to open the Patient Portal Registration window.
- You must now enter in all important information for your portal to become active. An explanation of each field follows:
- Practice Code: This will comprise the second half of your portal URL and is what will be given to patients so they may register for your Patient Portal. This must be unique from other practices. An example could be: https://portal.traknetpm.com/p/YourPracticeName
- First and Last Name: This should be the primary administrative user on the account, such as an office manager, lead staff member, or head physician. This user will be responsible for approving patient requests and editing the portal website to fit the practice’s desired appearance.
- E-mail: This should be the email address of the primary administrative user mentioned above.
- Password: This will be the password used to log into the admin portal. This should be a complex password of six characters or greater. Capitalization, numbers and special characters are permitted and recommended.
- Once you have entered all information, click Submit. You will receive a pop-up informing you that you have now registered for the portal.
- Note: If you selected a URL that is not unique, you will receive a warning at this time that that practice code or email address is already in use. You will need to tailor your practice URL to something unique.
- You have now registered for the patient portal! Please continue to our next guide, Logging In and Editing Your Account to customize your patient portal to be unique to your practice.
